Wallpaper* Handmade

The world leading design and lifestyle magazine Wallpaper* iniciated this unique collaboration between the young and talented French painter Marine Julié and the Czech traditional producer of fine hand-made glass, Rückl. The very first exhibition of these unique pieces was within Milan Design Week in April 2019.

Rückl’s own know-how of hand-cutting and engraving was put together with the exceptional expressivity of Marine’s drawings. The final decors are based on ancient foundations yet significant with its contemporary aesthetics. Its wild animalism is brilliantly combined with the minimalist linear style.

Each and every one of Marine’s brushstrokes was transferred into crystal glass by Rückl’s glassmaster Jaroslav Mádle. Each individual piece is an original thanks to this extraordinary care and detailed handcraft.
